Oil change + oil filter change on Peugeot 206 1.4HDi

Loosen the oil pan plug using a 21 mm open-end wrench.

Remove the cap by hand

Place a basin or jerrycan to collect the oil

Remove the air duct by unclipping the two clips

Remove the hose from the hook

Pull the sleeve to remove the conduit

Place a 27 socket, an extension and a ratchet on the oil filter bell

Loosen the oil filter bell with the ratchet

Continue by hand

Remove the bell by pulling on it

Insert comment.

Pull the oil filter out of its housing

Remove the bell gasket using a flat screwdriver

Clean the bell with brake cleaner

Compare the dimensions of the new filter with the old one

Open the bag to unpack the guide and the seal

Lubricate the seal with oil

Place the new gasket on the oil filter bell

Insert the new filter into the bell

Apply brake cleaner to the oil filter location then dry with a cloth

Insert the guide into the dedicated slot

The guide must fit into the hole in the oil filter.

Replace the oil filter in its location

Tighten the bell with the 27 socket, the extension and the ratchet

Replace the drain plug by hand

Tighten the drain plug using the 21 wrench.

Remove the engine oil cap and install a funnel

Pull out the oil dipstick and wipe off the old level

Pour about 4 liters of oil

Remove the funnel, close the oil cap

Start the engine to check the oil level
