How to change the oil and filter on a Peugeot 206 1.4 HDi

Loosen the oil pan plug using a 21 mm open-end wrench.

Remove the cap by hand

Place a basin or jerrycan to collect the oil

Remove the air duct by unclipping the two clips

Remove the hose from the hook
-

Place a 27 socket, an extension and a ratchet on the oil filter bell

-
Loosen the oil filter bell with the ratchet
-
Continue by hand
-
Remove the bell by pulling on it
-

Compare the dimensions of the new filter with the old one
-
Open the bag to unpack the guide and the seal
-
-
-
Insert the guide into the dedicated slot
-
The guide must fit into the hole in the oil filter.

Replace the oil filter in its location
-
Tighten the bell with the 27 socket, the extension and the ratchet
-

-
Replace the drain plug by hand
-
Tighten the drain plug using the 21 wrench.

Pull out the oil dipstick and wipe off the old level

Pour about 4 liters of oil
-

-
Remove the funnel, close the oil cap
-
Start the engine to check the oil level

I'm at the maximum, it's still good, even if I should be just below
