Engine oil change + oil filter replacement on Isuzu Dmax

Park the vehicle on a slight slope (or raise it) so that the plug (driver's side) is at the low point of the oil pan.

Place an oil collection basin under the cap, then unscrew the cap.

About 7L of oil will flow out

Locate the oil filter and unscrew it (ideally use a ratchet + extension + bell for the oil filter)

Oil will leak slightly

Check that the oil filters are identical

Oil (with new oil) the gasket of the new filter

Install the filter and tighten it by hand.

Replace the copper gasket on the oil pan plug

Screw the cap back onto the crankcase

Open the hood and unscrew the oil filler cap

Place a funnel to facilitate filling

Fill the oil circuit (between 6.5 and 7L)

Check the oil level while filling by removing the dipstick, the level should be between the minimum (Blue) and maximum (Red)

Start the engine and let it run for about 2 minutes, check for leaks under the vehicle

Switch off the ignition, wait about 5 minutes and check the oil level again, top up if necessary.
