Introduction

The model presented is a Peugeot 3008 1.6 HDi 16V FAP 110 hp

  1. Remove the plastic cover with a 10 key. The screws are located: 3 screws on the front face, 2 on each side of the wheels and two behind the engine. Unscrew then remove the oil pan plug with a 21 wrench, Position the drain pan underneath before unscrewing it completely. Let the oil flow Clean the crankcase plug then change the oil pan gasket

    • Check the condition of the crankcase plug thread, for safety, screw it in by hand and tighten with a 21 wrench.

  2. Disconnect the air inlet hose. Don't forget to unclip the element in the middle of the air intake hose when removing it from the engine compartment. The oil filter is released to begin the disassembly procedure.

  3. Take a 27 socket with an extension and a ratchet wrench, Unscrew Place absorbent paper under the oil filter before unscrewing it, some oil may flow down the engine. The oil filter remains in the oil filter bell, pull it out to remove it then Remove the gasket from the oil filter bell

  4. Change the oil filter bell gasket Locate the hole in the oil filter bowl to insert the protruding part of the new filter. Install the new oil filter , screw the bell in by hand then tighten the bolt

  5. Replace the air hose Once the oil has drained, screw the crankcase plug back on with the new gasket on it. Screw it on by hand and tighten with a 21 wrench.
  6. Unscrew the filler cap. Position the funnel and pour in 3.75 litres of oil

    • The vehicle must be placed on the ground on a flat surface

    • Make an initial check of the oil level using the dipstick. Start the engine at idle. Switch off the ignition, wait 10 min, Make a second level check using the dipstick (1 cm below the max)

    • Turn on the ignition and press the button (0km reset) at the same time so that the counter is reset to zero.

    • The counter must be reset once the level is correct.
