Introduction
This tutorial helps you perform the oil change on a Peugeot 309 1L9 diesel

Place a pan under the sump plug

Using a socket wrench, loosen the sump plug and allow the oil to drain into the pan.

place the pan under the oil filter
-
With the filter wrench, loosen the filter completely and then remove it from the car.

Place a new gasket on the crankcase plug.

Screw the crankcase plug back in by hand then tighten with a socket wrench.

and to fill the oil you have to remove the oil dipstick and undo the 2 small metal tabs (yellow arrow)

Pour the oil

Replace the filler cap and dipstick.

Start the engine, let it run for a minute, then turn it off.

Pull the oil dipstick
-
The correct oil level should be just below the maximum, if this is not the case add oil to reach the correct level. (between the 2 arrows)

Reposition the oil dipstick
