To unscrew the engine oil drain screw you will need to access underneath the car. To do this, raise the vehicle with a jack and place one or two jack stands for your safety.

Open your hood using the hatch located inside your vehicle.

Get under the car below the engine, you can see that a plastic protection panel must be removed to gain access to the drain plug and the oil filter.

Unblock the drain plug using a ratchet and a 21 socket. Finish unscrewing by hand.

    • To access the oil filter, it will be easier to unscrew the air duct, to do this use a ratchet with an 8 socket to completely remove the 2 screws that hold it.

    • Now lift the air duct carefully and then you can see the oil filter which is represented by a big black plastic bell.

Remove the old gasket from the bell using a small flat screwdriver and remove the old oil filter by pulling firmly on it.

Place the new gasket (supplied with the oil filter) on the bell, coat it with a little new oil.

Check the new oil filter for correct fit.

    • Place the oil filter alone in its housing on the engine, paying attention to the location of the small tip.

    • Present the bell by hand and finish tightening with the key.

Once the oil filter is changed, screw in your new screw with the seal using your ratchet and a 21 socket.

Reattach the air duct with the 2 screws and a ratchet with an 8 socket, check that it is properly connected, and that it has not moved during handling.

Reassemble the under-engine protection plate. Tighten and secure the 10 screws using a ratchet and a 10 socket.
    • Once the oil filter is changed, screw in your new screw with the seal using your ratchet and a 21 socket.

    • Reattach the air duct with the 2 screws and a ratchet with an 8 socket, check that it is properly connected, and that it has not moved during handling.

    • Reassemble the under-engine protection plate. Tighten and secure the 10 screws using a ratchet and a 10 socket.

    • Do an initial 3/4 fill.

    • Run the engine for 30 seconds so that the oil filter fills, turn off the engine and wait a few minutes.

    • Top up to the maximum level.

The first thing would be to say the year and the type of engine of the car concerned, I think that diesels and petrols are different and also according to the cylinder capacities.

A bit folkloric for the first time I put oil everywhere when removing the filter so cleaning afterwards lol but well explained overall.

Be careful to remove the cover, I found 12 screws.
