Draining and changing the oil filter on Peugeot 107

To access the oil filter, unscrew the three screws from the plate placed under the vehicle (ratchet and 10mm socket)

Once the three screws have been removed, place the plate to the side, the filter is therefore accessible

Place a pan under the oil filter

Using a filter wrench, unscrew the oil filter.

Finish unscrewing the oil filter by hand then remove it from its location

Place a tray under the crankcase.

Unscrew the drain plug with a ratchet and a 14 socket.

Pour some oil into a cap and dip your finger in it

Lubricate the gasket around the oil filter

Clean the oil filter holder with a cloth

Screw the oil filter back onto its support by hand,

Tighten the oil filter firmly but always by hand

Reposition the plate

Tighten the three screws

Clean the location of the bouchon de vidange

Replace and then screw the drain plug back in by hand.

Tighten the drain plug with the ratchet and 14 socket.

To check the oil level, the vehicle must be on a flat surface.

Unscrew and remove the filler cap

Place a funnel and pour about 3.5 liters of oil

Pull the oil dipstick

Wipe the oil dipstick

Re-insert the oil dipstick

Start the engine, the oil change light should disappear on the dashboard

Turn off the ignition then check the oil level again by pulling out the dipstick

The correct oil level should be just below the maximum, if this is not the case add oil to reach the correct level

Remove the funnel and screw the filler cap back on.
