Draining and changing the oil filter - Peugeot 306 1.9 D 70cv

Open the hood and locate the oil filter and oil filler cap.

Open the cap to facilitate the flow of oil.

Under the vehicle's engine is the oil pan.

Place a drain pan under the crankcase and use a 21mm wrench to unscrew the drain plug and allow the used oil to drain.

The oil filter is located at the front of the engine, behind le radiateur.

Unscrew the filter by hand or with a filter wrench.

Allow the used oil to drain into the recovery tank.

Compare the dimensions of the oil filter.

Lubricate the new filter with new oil, on the seal and the threads.

Place a new copper gasket on the drain plug.

Make sure the oil filter holder is clean.

Visser le filtre à huile by hand until contact then a quarter turn to crush the seal.

Replace the drain plug with its copper seal.

Place a funnel in the filler cap and gradually pour in 4 liters d'huile.

Replace the cap and la jauge de niveau.

Check the oil level after running the engine for a few minutes. The level should be between the minimum and maximum.
