Fuel filter change on Audi A3 II, year 2005. 2.0 TDi 140hp

Unscrew the cover screws using the torx key

Once unscrewed with a small screwdriver gently lever to remove the cover and the seals

then pull the diesel filter upwards from its housing from time to time it tends to resist but insist harder or leverage with a flat screwdriver then you can put the new one back

Place the small gasket in the center in the correct position

Then put the second O-ring on the cover as in the photo, add a little diesel to make it easier for the seal to slide in just in case.

for tightening proceed in a cross pattern to facilitate the O-ring to be joined everywhere then tighten everything without forcing too much

    • to re-prime the filter, turn the key three or four times without start of course let the pump fill the filter and empty the air

    • Here, start your vehicle and check that everything is fine, there are no leaks.

    • New line.
