Hello, no I don't think the problem comes from the commodo if the other one works correctly. Maybe a relay or harness problem.

Be careful, in the event of a defective switch, they can start to melt, releasing a very opaque and unpleasant smoke in the passenger compartment, leaving a smell of melted plastic for a very long time! Having already had the problem three times! Be aware that the Scenic switches are compatible with certain models, however, when bought second-hand, they are often very worn and do not necessarily last very long, sometimes the savings are not interesting over time!!
