With the vehicle on the ground, completely unscrew the universal joint nut
-
If your rims are solid, remove the wheel, raise the vehicle and ask someone to brake.
-
Raise the vehicle and remove the wheel
-
In order to avoid draining the box, you can put the vehicle "biased" (the side with the cardan shaft has changed higher than the other)
-
-
-
Extract the universal joint on the wheel side by pushing it towards the box
-
It works perfectly, you have to play with the angle of the cardan
-
Then pull the gimbal towards you to remove it
-
-
-
Check that the new universal joint is identical to the old one in number of teeth but especially in total length (This is played out at 5mm)
-
Proceed to reassemble the universal joint in the reverse order to removal.
-
If the new gimbal is too long, assembly will be impossible with this technique, a good way to notice this too :)

Hello
When removing the universal joint, be careful not to damage the gearbox output oil seal.
If there is a gearbox oil leak, change it while everything is dismantled.
otherwise good tutorial
