Changing the trunk cylinders on a Fiat 500

Open the rear trunk

Place a broom in the trunk so that it holds the tailgate while extracting the jacks

Place a flat screwdriver between the jack and the clips

Leverage with the screwdriver and remove the clips

Place the screwdriver between the clips and the jack, tilt the clips and remove the

Remove the tailgate cylinder from its location by pulling the top clip of the cylinder towards you, then the bottom clip.

Compare old and new tailgate strut (length, attachments)

Replace the bottom then the top of the jack by clipping the jack into the attachment

Perform the same operation on the second jack

Remove the broom and test the trunk for proper operation.
