Introduction

"Vehicle engine: Citroën C5 1.6 hdi from 2006"

  1. 
start the engine and raise the vehicle to its maximum height by pressing the arrow twice (photo 1) once the dial indicates speed limited to 10 km/h, turn off the engine.

Loosen the front wheel bolts

Wedge the rear wheels with wooden blocks or something else.
    • Loosen the front wheel bolts

    • Wedge the rear wheels with wooden blocks or something else.

    • Raise the car using the jack then position a jack stand on each side of the vehicle.

    • You must lift both sides of the vehicle to relieve the stabilizer bar, otherwise it will be impossible to remove the stabilizer bar links.

    • remove the wheels.

Loosen the stabilizer bar link nut using an 18 flat wrench and a 16 flat wrench to make a power take-off + 1 5 mm hex bit and a 1/2 ratchet wrench to prevent the ball joint from rotating.

once unlocked, finish loosening and remove the 2 nuts and then the connecting rod.

in red the old one and in green the new stabilizer bar link.

reposition the new stabilizer link and tighten the 2 nuts with an 18 mm flat wrench (use a 2nd 16 mm flat wrench or larger to create a power take-off) + 5 mm Allen bit + 1/2 mm ratchet wrench.

New stabilizer bar link in place.

    • New stabilizer bar link in place.

    • do the same for the other side then you will just have to put the wheels back up and lower the vehicle
