Introduction
This tutorial explains how to change the brake kit on a Ford Fiesta 5

Remove the cap with a screwdriver and hammer

Unscrew and remove the central drum bolt with a ratchet and a 30 socket.

Remove the drum, if it does not come out, use a screwdriver to lever it out and a hammer.

Remove the two clips on each side using a screwdriver,

Don't forget to retrieve the rod holding the clips

Remove the brake kit by pulling it towards you, be careful that it is still attached to the handbrake cable

Push back the handbrake cable spring

Pinch the spring with wire cutters, blocking the cable, then rotate and remove the

Place a container to collect the brake fluid
-
To drain the brake fluid, loosen the brake hose (placed behind) with vice grips then unscrew it with the 11 mm open-end wrench.

Unscrew the two bolts holding the wheel cylinder

Extract the wheel cylinder
-
Re-plug the brake hose cap
-

Remove the two rubbers from the wheel cylinder
-
Remove the brake fluid hose cap
-
-
-
Replace the wheel cylinder
-
Hand-tighten the hose and the two bolts holding the wheel cylinder

Tighten the hose bolt and cylinder bolts
-

-
Lock the jaw so that the brake cable can be inserted into the hole

Block the spring as much as possible with the cutting pliers and insert the brake cable into the hole

Loosen the spring of the brake kit then pass it in front of the handbrake cable and reattach it
-

Insert the rod into the hole from behind

Reclip the two clips with multigrip pliers
-

-
Adjust the automatic catch-up by rotating the wheel with a flat screwdriver

Replace the drum and check that there is slight friction with the brake kit by rotating the drum, if not turn the wheel until the drum rubs lightly with the brake kit

Replace the central bolt and tighten firmly (torque wrench or an iron bar)

Check again that the drum rubs lightly with the brake kit by rotating the drum

Replace the cap with a screwdriver and hammer
