To be able to access your cabin filter, you will need to open your glove compartment on the Volkswagen Golf VII vehicle.
-
-
-
To access it you will need to remove the glove box, to do this:
-
On the right side of the glove box you will find a wheel that you will need to press firmly while pulling on the right side of the glove box.
-
On the left side of the glove box you will find a wheel that you will need to press firmly while pulling on the left side of the glove box.
-
You will have to do it each in turn going up, several times and then put it down as much as possible by going down.
-
-
-
You can now see the cover located in front of the cabin filter of your vehicle.
-
To be able to remove it, you have 8 clips to press while going and then pulling towards you it will come off.
-
I advise you to proceed from the right to the left.
-
Finally, here is the cabin filter. To remove and change it, you simply have to pull on it.
-
Make sure the old and new filters are identical and then insert the new filter. Just push it, check its direction by putting the arrow on it upwards because the conduit arrives from the top.
-
-
-
To be able to replace the cabin filter cover once it has been changed, please present it in front and then press firmly on each of the clips on it.
-
-
-
To be able to put the glove box back, you will have to put it back together, checking that the slide on the right side is correctly positioned, then force it a little to close it.

Hello
You just have to unclip the 3 parts at the top, the legs at the bottom are just there to allow the cover to pivot, once unclipped, pivot the cover which remains horizontal thanks to the legs below, change your filter.
For the glove box, you should not press on the large lugs but pull them slightly to allow the lugs of the glove box to pass over them. By pressing with all your strength the box does not unlock, by pulling it is much better ;-)

We can use a token to eclipse the upper part it is much more practical than nails but yes lower part very fragile I have traces of wear it can easily break he should have done the same at the top and bottom

Very well explained. But don't press on the 3 legs underneath! Very brittle!
