Tutorial made on Peugeot 106 XSi phase 1 (TU3FJ2)

  1. 
Changing the oil temperature sensor must be done during an engine oil change, the oil pan must be empty

The oil temperature sensor is located on the oil pan, under the engine

Disconnect the probe connector
    • Changing the oil temperature sensor must be done during an engine oil change, the oil pan must be empty

    • The oil temperature sensor is located on the oil pan, under the engine

    • Disconnect the probe connector

    • Loosen the probe using a 19 pipe wrench

  2. 
Unscrew the probe

and drop the probe

Retrieve the gasket present on the probe and again on the oil pan
    • Unscrew the probe

    • and drop the probe

    • Retrieve the gasket present on the probe and again on the oil pan

  3. 
Wipe the probe location

Replace the old or new gasket on the new temperature probe

Replace the old or new gasket on the new temperature probe
    • Wipe the probe location

    • Replace the old or new gasket on the new temperature probe

  4. 
Replace the probe in its location

Screw the probe back in

Tighten the probe using the 19 pipe wrench
    • Replace the probe in its location

    • Screw the probe back in

    • Tighten the probe using the 19 pipe wrench

  5. 
Reconnect the connector to the oil temperature sensor

Reconnect the connector to the oil temperature sensor
    • Reconnect the connector to the oil temperature sensor
