Looking for how to replace a bulb that lights up your license plate? This simple tutorial will show you how to do it easily

On our Clio 3 we have two different modules which manage the lighting of our license plate.
-
They are placed between the license plate and the trunk opening (you will have to bend down to see them).
-
Before doing the following steps, turn off your lights so that the bulbs are out because a fuse could blow, if by mistake it blows, it is located in the fuse box in the engine compartment.''
-
-
-
To be able to unclip the module you must:
-
Use a flat-head screwdriver, preferably a small one, to pry from the right side.
-
- The module will unclip on one side so you will have to lever on the other side while holding the first unclipped side.
-
Finish removing the module by hand using a back and forth motion.
-
-
-
Once the module is removed you will need to remove the plastic cover that hides the bulb
-
To do this, use your flat screwdriver and insert it into the small notch provided for this purpose then lever it, it will come out directly without forcing too much.
-
You will finally see the bulb, remove it with your fingers, preferably with gloves, but if you can't do it, use your screwdriver to help you.
-
Put a bulb back in place, being careful to use the same bulb, which is: W5W or T10.
-
Test if the bulb works well before putting everything back together by turning on your lights, if it does not work remove the bulb and change the direction by turning it.''
-
-
-
Replace the plastic cover, paying attention to its direction.
-
You will simply have to put the plug in before passing the module into the cover and then clip it in place by pressing firmly on it.

On my car, at step 3, you don't have to put the screwdriver in the notch but use the 2 small clips on the sides to remove the plastic cover and access the bulb.
