Location of the fuel filter

Remove the engine cover by pulling it upwards, it is simply clipped in.

Remove the air hose between the air filter and the turbo by unscrewing the clamp with a flat screwdriver and pressing the clamp with multi-grip pliers.

Remove the hose by turning it to release it from the lugs.

Disconnect the electrical plug from the air flow meter, unscrew the 3 screws.

Unclip the air filter housing by lifting it up, then push it to make room for the fuel filter

Unclip the fuel outlet hose by pressing on each side, disconnect the electrical plug next to it

Remove the filter by pressing the tab and lifting it slightly

Rotate it to disconnect the fuel supply hose then disconnect the small hose below with the electrical plug

You can now remove the filter completely

Care must be taken not to spill fuel on the engine.

Compare the new filter with the old one

You have to remove the heater from the old filter to put it on the new one. To do this, you have to lift the tab, break it if necessary to remove the heater by pulling it

Change the heater O-rings

Reassemble the filter, taking care to reconnect the 3 hoses and the 2 electrical sockets. Then put the air filter housing back in place.

Re-prime the circuit by pressing the primer bulb until it becomes hard

Reassemble the 2 hoses by doing the steps in reverse order of disassembly, do not forget the electrical socket of the air flow meter.

Once the circuit is primed again, start the car and let it run for 5 minutes.

If your engine cuts out, it is because there is still air in the circuit. So press the primer bulb again until the last air bubbles are expelled.

Finish by replacing the engine cover and closing the hood.
