How to change the fuel filter on Volkswagen Scirocco III 2.0 TDi 170hp

  1. 
Locate the fuel filter housing

Unscrew the 5 Torx 20 screws, I use a ratchet or I adapt a T20 bit

Unscrew the 5 Torx 20 screws, I use a ratchet or I adapt a T20 bit
    • Locate the fuel filter housing

    • Unscrew the 5 Torx 20 screws, I use a ratchet or I adapt a T20 bit

  2. 
Remove the 5 screws and place a cloth to soak up any diesel that may leak out.

Place a flat screwdriver in the notch provided, in order to lift the cover

Take out the old filter

Compare old and new filter

Remove the old gasket from the cover

Replace the gasket and lubricate it with your finger and diesel oil.

Place the new filter
    • Remove the old gasket from the cover

    • Replace the gasket and lubricate it with your finger and diesel oil.

    • Place the new filter

replace the cover

Tighten the 5 T20 screws

Tighten the 5 T20 screws
    • replace the cover

    • Tighten the 5 T20 screws
