Introduction

I change the diesel filter every other oil change.

If your car is still equipped with it, remove the engine cover:

    • The fuel in this tank probably contains a lot of water, which is why I do not recommend reusing it. It will be taken to a recycling center.

  3.
press the 2 tabs on the diesel outlet connector

and pull to unplug

This will create an air intake: the tank will empty much more quickly.

    • The filter I removed is very clean but I just bought this vehicle and had no service receipts on it.

  6.
clean the tank using a cloth and a blower if possible

Even if it is possible to do it, I strongly advise against disassembling the tank. The filter holders are a disease on DW8 and it is better not to touch them if everything works like here.

Hello, thanks for the tutorial which is excellent, I had to add diesel to the tank, nothing came out, maybe it would be good to suggest it. I also tapped the lid lightly with a hammer so that there was no air intake.

Thanks anyway it's great

Hello, your pump is PT hs. No need to fill the tank normally but you can do it. It will help to prime faster. First try to replace the priming system

Good morning,

I can't get the filter to prime again. I pump but nothing comes out.

Do you need to fill the diesel tank first?

Good evening and thank you for your comment. Concerning the hose, I advise you to go to Peugeot directly. I will not be able to make a tutorial because it will not be validated by Oscaro since the part is not available on the site. But I think it is not very complicated. You have to follow its path. Good luck to you.

Very good tutorial! Many do not do the purge to evacuate the air. Can you make a guide for changing the diesel outlet connection hose (the big one) because the 3 green seals inside have play and no longer do their job. also I can't find it on your site, where can I buy it?
