Introduction
Changing the diesel filter requires basic mechanics. It is a "moderate" or even "difficult" level. Access is not easy and you need equipment (a vice in particular) to be able to disassemble. We can see on this vehicle that the filter is an OEM reference. I think it has not been changed for a long time.

disconnect the flow meter

unclip the air box connector

unscrew the air intake hose clamp, 10mm wrench, and release it

undo the 2 metal clips on the air box cover and remove it by tilting it
-
remove the air filter
-
remove the air box, 3 screws to undo using the 10mm key
-

-
pinch the diesel hose clamp and slide it down
-
disconnect the hose
-
proceed in the same way for the other 3 hoses
-
Have a rag ready because some diesel will leak.

disconnect the electrical plug from the diesel filter
-
unscrew the 2 filter holder fixing nuts, 12mm wrench
-
remove the whole thing
-

-
open the bleed screw under the filter
-
and empty the diesel into a container
-
we will take the diesel to the recycling center
-
I do not recommend reusing it because this diesel probably contains a lot of water.

undo the 2 clips that hold the connector
-
I use fine-nose pliers.
-
unscrew the clamping screw, 8mm key
-
remove the sheet metal
-
-
-
Disassemble the water presence detector using multi-grip pliers
-
Place the filter/filter holder assembly in a vise and release the filter using a strap wrench or similar tool
-
finish unscrewing by hand and remove the filter
-

-
remove the o-ring from the water presence sensor
-
and replace it
-
A new gasket is supplied with the filter.

Lubricate the gasket and screw the water presence sensor onto the new filter
-
Don't forget to tighten the bleed screw.

clean the scope on the filter holder
-
lubricate the new filter's O-ring
-
tighten the filter firmly by hand
-
-
-
present the sheet correctly: there are 2 arrows to align (I applied yellow marker on the filter holder mark for better visibility)

screw in the sheet metal flange screw, 8mm wrench
-
clip the connector onto the filter holder (2 clips)
-

-
position the filter/filter holder assembly
-
connect the hoses
-
I didn't think it was necessary to mark them. The diameters and orientation mean that you can't really make a mistake when reassembling.

put the collars back in place
-
-
-
connect the connectors
-
fill the filter by operating the priming pump
-
The filter is full when resistance is encountered while pumping.
-
screw the 2 nuts holding the filter holder, 12mm wrench
-
-
-
install and secure the air box, 3 screws, 10mm wrench
-
install the air filter
-
place the cover (be careful to position the 2 lugs at the bottom correctly) and clip it
-

-
Make sure the air intake hose is in place and tighten its retaining collar, 10mm wrench
-
clip the connector into its housing
-
reconnect the flow meter
-

Thank you for this detailed tutorial...I bought a GO filter a long time ago but never dared to try replacing it...With your explanations I will start soon having a good maintenance session to carry out (engine oil change, discs and pads, filters etc... on my 2007 Auris which has 265,000 km without any particular problems....
