Changing the fuel filter on Alfa Romeo 147

The fuel filter is located under the windshield bay, behind the engine

Remove the hose clamp located above the filter using a Phillips screwdriver.

Place a rag under the hose to avoid getting fuel everywhere.

Remove the fuel hose

Remove the hose from the clip to facilitate access to the filter

Remove the cloth

Using a filter wrench, unscrew the fuel filter

Unclip the sensor plugged under the filter using a flat screwdriver

Remove the filter from its location

Pay attention to the seal on the top of the filter

Compare the dimensions of the new filter with the old one

Remove the cap at the bottom of the old filter by unscrewing it

Apply oil to the two gaskets on the top of the new filter

Replace the new filter in its location and screw it back in.

Replace the sensor under the new filter

Feed the hose through the clip

Place the clamp on the hose

Replace the hose

Tighten the collar using the Phillips screwdriver

Your filter is mounted

Start the car several times to get the fuel to the filter before driving.
