Start by removing the wheel and lifting the vehicle
-
Lift/block the vehicle using the chassis and not the bridge
-
Unscrew the 2 shock absorber fixing nuts (upper and lower)
-
Lightly compress the shock absorber by hand to extract it.
-
If manual compression is too difficult, raise the bridge slightly using the jack
-
-
-
Check that both shock absorbers are identical
-
I opted for a vehicle lift, the shock absorbers are therefore slightly larger but the fixings and installation remain identical compared to a standard installation.
-
Place the first cup and the silent block at each end of the shock absorber, as shown on the old shock absorber.
-
-
-
Place the shock absorber in its upper housing and secure it by replacing the 2 cups and the silent block (Cup / silent block / cup / nut). Do not fully tighten the shock absorber
-
-
-
Remove the metal flange
-
Guide the shock absorber in its extension towards the hole provided in the bridge
-
Place the 2 cups and the silent block (cup / silent block / cup / nut) then fully tighten the nut
-
Finish tightening the top nut
-
Reassemble the wheel and place the vehicle back on the ground
