Changing the front dipped beam bulbs on a Mini

Your dipped headlight bulb is no longer working, it is essential to change it

To open the hood, open the passenger side door

Pull the handle to open the hood

The latch is located under the hood next to the left headlight of the car

Locate the bulb location

Remove the cable from its location by pulling it upwards

Disengage the cover catch

Remove the cover by pulling it downwards

You now have access to the bulb location

Remove the harness by pulling it downwards

You now have access to the bulb

To remove the bulb from its location, pull down on the two connectors

Don't hesitate to force it out.

Do not touch the bulb with your fingers, the bulb is very fragile

The flat base of the bulb socket is placed on the side below

Place the new bulb by pushing it upwards

Check that the bulb is installed correctly

Replace the harness to the connectors by pushing it upwards

The cover is made up of two teeth which fit into two holes

Replace the cover

Replace the clip on the cover

Replace the cable in its location

Check that the bulb is working properly
