Left side le témoin d'usure must be unclipped from its housing in the plate.

This can be kept if it is not worn (remember to change the pads before the warning light comes on by regularly checking the wear of the pads).

T Good Tutorial…but for resetting the information on the dashboard??

A solution??

Because there is a red light telling me to see a professional :) to check the brake system (20,000 km car)

Damn builders who force us to go back to the suitcase :)

JEROME SCRIVE - Resolved on Release Reply

The operation is carried out with the door closed, ignition on (but not started: brief press on the Start-Stop button)

No need for a suitcase. The reset is done by navigating in the menu of the on-board computer with the button at the end of the indicator or headlight lever (with a combination of short presses = navigate, or long presses = validate). You have to enter CHECK-INFO, then, on the data in alert, go to SET or RESET, and stay long enough (small countdown animation) to reset. The procedure can be found almost everywhere on the net (be careful with your version of Mini…).

The answer given above by Jérémie does not work, at least on my car. The left switch is only used to change the information on the dashboard.

The question remains. Please answer if anyone knows how to do this.

After changing the pads, how do I clear the alarm on my MINI F56?

How to clear the alarm after changing the rear brake pads on a Cooper 136 CV.

The handbrake warning light remains on and the message<changer plaquettes AR > stay active

Good morning,

So I understand there is a sensor on the front left, is there one on the rear and if so on which side?

Can we charge the sensor without removing the pads or caliper? The wheel? They have already been done but we didn't have the sensors at that time?

Thank you for your quick response.

Quick questions:

Should the disc be checked for wear? If so, what is the limit thickness at which disc replacement is required?

Should I lubricate the back of the pad to prevent it from squealing when braking?

FABRICE MAICEL - Resolved on Release Reply

Good morning ,

The minimum disc dimension is 20.4mm, the pads do not require lubrication on the back.

We remain at your disposal for any additional information.

Yours sincerely,

Osaro Team

Good morning,

My warning light was out, so I replaced it with a new one ordered from oscaro and I can't get the fault to be removed from the dashboard.

The fault can be removed using a "suitcase" from a small mechanic friend, but it comes back as soon as the engine is running....

How should we do it?

Thank you for your help

Hello

you put the key in the ignition, you press start without clutch, you press the right button on your dashboard screen until you see the maintenance appears on the small screen, you press the left bc commodot button until the pad maintenance. as soon as you are on it you press the right button on the dashboard again a small clock will start resetting the pads. I hope I have answered your concern cordially.

really a good tutorial! well done

My piston screws in with a suitable key, it is impossible to push it back with a clamp.

serge alcantara - Resolved on Release Reply

This is the front brake tutorial. You're talking about the rear caliper piston. There's no need to rotate the front brake piston. A piston pusher can be found for around €20. You'll need the right tip for the Mini, along with the washer with the two nipples at the correct spacing.

The tutorial is just the wear indicator to remove it, you have to pull on it to get it out??? MINE IS SQUARE 35 points

DENIS CHAUCHAT - Resolved on Release Reply

Good morning ,

In fact the wear indicator is held by a simple clip, to remove it pinch the end of the clip at the edge of the brake pad.

Best regards,

The Oscaro Team

It sounds simple and easy.
