Introduction

This tutorial helps you change discs and pads on toyota corolla 1.4L D-4D 90ch

  1. 
Loosen the 4 wheel nuts with a 21mm wrench without removing them.

Raise the car using the jack and then place a jack stand on it to ensure your safety.

    • Unscrew the bolts completely and remove the wheel.

Using a screwdriver, lever the pads so that they push the piston slightly to have some play.

Once the stirrup is removed, it must be hung (with a hook) from the suspension

The brake hose must not be damaged in any way.

To remove the pad holder, unscrew the 2 bolts with a 17mm wrench.

to remove the disc you have to put 2 8mm bolts in the 2 holes on the disc

with a 13mm key tighten the 2 8mm bolts each in turn

    • remove the brake disc

on the caliper you have to push the piston back using a piston pusher

Clean the hub with a wire brush

    • as well as the pad bearings on the caliper bracket

Clean the new disc with brake cleaner and dry thoroughly with paper towels.

Reinstall the brake disc then the pad holder with the two bolts using the 17mm wrench

put the brake caliper back on and tighten the 2 bolts using a 12mm wrench

Clean the new disc with brake cleaner and dry thoroughly with paper towels.

Replace the wheel with its 4 bolts using a 21mm wrench.
    • put the brake caliper back on and tighten the 2 bolts using a 12mm wrench

    • Clean the new disc with brake cleaner and dry thoroughly with paper towels.

    • Replace the wheel with its 4 bolts using a 21mm wrench.

    • Press the brake pedal several times to put the piston back in place.
