To make your oil change easier, warm up your engine for at least 5 minutes. For better oil flow, you will then need to use a jack to lift your vehicle.
-
Place the jack in the designated location at the front of your vehicle on the passenger side, then raise your car to have space underneath, and for your safety put one or two jack stands .

-
To ensure that the oil flows easily and completely:
-
- Remove the rod used to see your oil level by pulling on it.
-
- Remove your oil filler cap by unscrewing it.
-
-
-
Unscrew the cap using an 8 mm Allen key.
-
Place yourself under the car , put a bucket or basin to collect your oil then under the engine you will see that a small screw is easily accessible , unscrew it until the oil flows out then recover the screw without dropping it in oil.
-
-
-
Allow the engine oil to drain completely until it no longer flows.
-
Above all, do not leave your oil in nature, put it in a landfill that collects the oil so as not to pollute the planet.
-
-
-
You absolutely must change the engine oil drain screw gasket , to do this remove the old one by pulling on it then place a new gasket on top.
-
-
-
Replace the previously cleaned cap, with a 14 mm diameter copper seal, using an 8 mm Allen key.
-
Place your screw in the drain location, start tightening it by hand, then finish by tightening the screw firmly.

Please fill your oil in the engine oil filler compartment , pour about 4 liters of oil. Use 5w30 C2 or 5w40 C3 oil for low budget. (Low ash rate to preserve the DPF) Do not trust the photo, the author is using the wrong oil!!
-
For the 2l HDI, engine capacity after replacing the oil filter 5.25l. (Systematic filter replacement, during each oil change) Fill the engine with 5l of oil. You will be at 3/4 on the dipstick! This is more than enough.
