Changing the diesel filter on Seat Altea 2.0 TDi
The diesel filter should be changed approximately every 30,000 km. This operation is necessary for the engine to function properly.

Open the engine hood

The filter is located on the passenger side under the expansion tank

Diesel is very greasy and polluting, so use gloves and do the operation as cleanly as possible to avoid polluting the ground.

Place absorbent paper all around the filter

The filter is held in place by 5 torx screws

Unscrew the 5 screws

On the cover there is a slot to insert a screwdriver and use as a lever.

Using a flat screwdriver, lever the cover off.

The filter is located under the cover

Pull the filter out 3/4 so that the diesel can flow out (as in the photo)

Compare filters

Change the cover gasket
-
Replace the filter
-
Reassembly in reverse order

There is no primer bulb, you can restart the vehicle
