Introduction

The cabin filter must be replaced regularly to ensure fresh and healthy air in the passenger compartment every 2 years under normal use (follow the maintenance log)

Very good tutorial, detailed as desired. I used it in addition to the automotive technical review which does not mention all the subtleties. However, the RTA offers a complete disassembly of the glove box which effectively gives better access to the hatch and allows for good cleaning in the process.

Excellent, well-documented tutorial. It's true that you have to count an hour between going to get the torx screws underneath and contorting yourself like a madman. A little tip, get yourself a pair of pliers to get the filter tabs. You need to be patient to install the second filter above the first (put it straight above the other and use both hands). Finally, a zero point for the engineers who designed this type of ventilation and accessibility. In my 307, replacement in 10 seconds...

The day when the “engineers” (note the “) will be obliged to do an internship to do this filter replacement themselves, it is a safe bet that the assembly will be more accessible in the next model…in any case, bravo to the author of this tutorial!

I totally agree. I would even say that it is a shame to design things like that. Indeed, it is a maintenance operation, called to be repeated many times. We can imagine that by making things complicated, they think they are forcing people to contact a professional. But in relation to these professionals, it is also a shame, because they are also obliged, they too, to contort themselves in all directions! I find it unacceptable that these "engineers" do not care at all about those who will come after them. After me the deluge... or the galley!

BE CAREFUL WITH THE FILTERS, SOME ARE MORE STIFF AND SO EASIER TO INSTALL.

The AH 261-2 purflux filters are too flexible, too light and really difficult to position correctly without damaging them....
