Shame on the people at Ford for creating such an access. It would have been simpler to at least put it on the passenger side...

difficult access, provide a ratchet key and a small wire to attach the accelerator pedal once removed (on the brake pedal) so that it does not get in the way during handling. Removal and replacement done in 20 minutes, but a real ordeal for the back.

health,

well I just finished changing the cabin filter of my Ford Focus, it's really difficult!!!! You mustn't have back pain because access is very limited, you have to lie with your head under the wheel. Work with good tools like a ratchet wrench and a tip: aim and unscrew the filter cover screw by hand, it comes off easily without using the ratchet because there's no room with the wrench. Good luck, allow a good hour of assembly and disassembly with a sore back to finish. My darling is going to have to give me a good massage.
