After emptying the glove box, separate the "shock absorber" from the glove box lid.

Press the tab to remove the pollen filter cover (blue arrow)

In the small orange rectangle it says "UP" this is the direction of assembly of the pollen filter if it is a Toyota filter. Otherwise the arrows "Air Flow" point downwards

Identify the mounting direction of the filter.

Put it in place,'air flow down and then put the cover back on. If you put a "Toyota Genuine" filter in there will be "UP" written on the filter and in this case "UP" is up, as it is written on the cover.

Put the glove box back in, remembering to insert the lowering shock absorber rod.
