Introduction

This tutorial helps you replace the cabin filter on Toyota Corolla 1.4L D-4D 90hp

  1. 
The cabin filter on Corolla is located behind the glove box.

Open the glove box

Using the crosshead screwdriver, unscrew the screw indicated by the green arrow.

Dislodge the small jack as in photo no. 3

Pull (upwards) to unclip it from its support, then gently lower it to access the filter

Undo the two small plastic tabs then remove the cover.

Remove the old filter

Compare the dimensions between the old and new cabin filter

Make sure to respect the direction of air circulation before replacing the filter using the arrows indicated on the side of the filter.

Slide the new cabin filter into its location.

Check the assembly direction with the arrows on the side

Reposition the plastic cover
    • Slide the new cabin filter into its location.

Put the small jack back on its support

Tighten the retaining screw

Hello, Are you sure about the orientation of the filter? When I put my hand in, I feel like the airflow is from the bottom to the top, not from the top to the bottom.
