Changing the air filter on Volkswagen Golf VII

This tutorial will help you change your air filter on a Volkswagen Golf VII.

To access the air filter you will have to open your hood, open your driver's side door then pull the lever below the headlight adjustment.

Afterwards meet in front of your vehicle, bend down to see the hood release lever then lift it up.

Your air filter is located in the cover above the windshield washer filler and below your battery.

For remove the air filter cover of your Volkswagen Golf VII, use a TORX screwdriver with a 25 mm bit.

Unscrew the 8 screws which is around this one, the screws remain on the cover, it is normal if they do not come off completely.

Once the screws are all unscrewed, you will need to be able tonever hide it without forcing too much to access the air filter.

Don't try to remove it completely., just lift it up you will have plenty of room to access the air filter.

To remove the air filter, lift it gently, it will come towards you without forcing.

Once the air filter is changed, you will have to Replace the air filter cover.

Position it in the screw holes Then press it to clip it, Next you will need to screw the 8 screws around the air filter cover thanks to the TORX screwdriver with 25 mm bit.

Once all the screws are in place, you will need to check that they are all tight.
