Introduction

Procedure for changing the air filter on Ford Fiesta VII - 1.1i 70 and 85hp (3 cylinder petrol).

  1. 
Open the hood.
    • Open the hood.

    • Locate the air filter. Bottom right of the engine compartment.

  2. 
Identify the different fasteners. 1 clamp and 2 clips.

Loosen the collar using a flat-head screwdriver.

Disconnect the air duct.
    • Identify the different fasteners. 1 clamp and 2 clips.

    • Loosen the collar using a flat-head screwdriver.

    • Disconnect the air duct.

Clear the duct well.

Unclip the two clips.

Unclip the two clips.
    • Clear the duct well.

    • Unclip the two clips.

  4. 
Remove the air filter housing cover.

Remove the used air filter.

Remove any residue present at the bottom of the box (dead leaves or other).
    • Remove the air filter housing cover.

    • Remove the used air filter.

    • Remove any residue present at the bottom of the box (dead leaves or other).

  5. 
Check the fit of the new air filter.

Insert the new air filter into the housing.

Insert the new air filter into the housing.
    • Check the fit of the new air filter.

    • Insert the new air filter into the housing.

  6. 
Replace the case cover, starting with the two tabs on the left of the case.

Reattach the two clips by pressing lightly on the top of the cover to make it easier to put them back in place.

Re-engage the air duct on the cover.
    • Replace the case cover, starting with the two tabs on the left of the case.

    • Reattach the two clips by pressing lightly on the top of the cover to make it easier to put them back in place.

    • Re-engage the air duct on the cover.

  7. 
Tighten the collar using a flat-head screwdriver.

Close the hood.
    • Tighten the collar using a flat-head screwdriver.

    • Close the hood.
