How to change the air filter on a Citroën C5 1.6HDi?

Loosen the clamp on the first air hose using a 7 mm socket.

Loosen the air hose clamp using a pair of multi-grip pliers.

Remove the air outlet hose by pulling on it.

    • Remove the air outlet hose by pulling on it.

Unscrew the screw of the second hose support with a 10 socket wrench.

Unclip the second air hose.

Pull the air hose out of its location.

Unscrew the air box screws using a Torx 25 screwdriver

Disconnect the air box probe.

Remove the air box cover by pulling on it.

Remove the air filter.

Compare the dimensions of the old with the new

Replace the new air filter in its location.

Reposition the air box cover by engaging the clips on the rear section.

Reconnect the probe to the air box cover

Replace the air inlet hose in its location.

Tighten the air hose clamp with a 7mm socket.

Tighten the hose support screw with a 10 socket wrench.

Reposition the engine cover.
