Simply pull on them if there is too much resistance, use a flat screwdriver to detach them and pliers to pull.

Using a medium-large crosshead screwdriver, loosen the 2 clamps while holding them

Pull the cover up

Undo the 2 clips to access the air filter

compare dimensions between the new air filter and the old one
