Introduction

The model presented is a Citroën Saxo Phase 2 1.1 i 60cv

  1. 
Identify the air box.

Loosen the metal clamp on the air intake hose using a Phillips screwdriver.

Do not loosen it completely but just enough so that it can slide freely.
    • Identify the air box.

    • Loosen the metal clamp on the air intake hose using a Phillips screwdriver.

    • Do not loosen it completely but just enough so that it can slide freely.

    • Pull the air intake hose toward you to detach it from the air box.

    • Disconnect the breather hose by pressing on the yellow part and pulling towards you.

    • Loosen the metal clamp at the air box outlet. (without loosening it completely)

    • Pull the air box to the right to disconnect it and remove it from the engine compartment.

Using a large cross-head screwdriver, unscrew the 5 screws on the air box cover. Then lift the cover.

Remove the old air filter

Remove any dirt that is in the air box.
    • Using a large cross-head screwdriver, unscrew the 5 screws on the air box cover. Then lift the cover.

    • Remove the old air filter

    • Remove any dirt that is in the air box.

    • Check the correspondence between le nouveau filtre à air and the old one

Place the new filter in the same direction as the old one in the air box.

Close the air box by tightening the 5 screws.
    • Place the new filter in the same direction as the old one in the air box.

    • Close the air box by tightening the 5 screws.

    • Do not tighten too hard as the air box is plastic.

    • Place the air box back in the engine compartment.

    • Proceed in the reverse order of disassembly to reconnect the air box.
