Introduction

The air filter is an essential element for the proper functioning of the engine. Changing it at each oil change is essential.

Here is all the information to easily change the air filter of your C6

Model: 2.2 HDi 173 (2008)

  1. 
First, open the engine hood using the lever located to the left of the pedals when you open the driver's door.

4 screws hold the air filter cover, take your screwdriver to unscrew them.

Info: you won't risk losing the screws, they stay in place once completely unscrewed.

    • 4 screws hold the air filter cover, take your screwdriver to unscrew them.

    • Once the four screws are completely unscrewed (but still in place) lift the cover upwards to clear access to the air filter.

  4. 
Remove the air filter completely by lifting it from the sides.

Clean the bottom of the air filter housing to remove any insects or other dirt.

    • Compare the old and the new air filter

    • Place the new air filter in the same direction as the old one.

  5. 
Reinstall the air filter cover as originally. The four holes must be aligned in order to successfully screw in the screw.

    • Tighten the four screws fully.
