Changing interior light bulbs on Mercedes Sprinter Tipper

We are going to change the interior bulbs on a Mercedes Sprinter 516CDI dumper version, on this model we have 1 ceiling light and 1 in the glove box.

So let's start with the ceiling light, use a small flat screwdriver then insert it into the small notch on the side of it, lever it up and pull down.

The ceiling light is now removed from its housing.

To be sure of the manipulation, we will disconnect the ceiling light connector.

Pinch the side of the connector then pull outwards to remove it from its housing.

We are now going to change the bulb in the ceiling light. To do this, remove the bulb from its housing and then replace a new bulb, respecting its direction.

You can use gloves when changing the bulb.

Replace the connector by simply clipping it into its housing, respecting its direction, then check the operation of the bulb before reassembly.

You can now put the ceiling light back in its housing, respecting its direction.

We will now change the glove box light bulb, to do this, open the glove box.

The glove box lighting module is located on the top of the glove box.

You can unclip it by hand to remove it from its housing, push the module towards the back of the glove box to remove it.

You can disconnect the connector in order to be sure of the handling for this, press on the side of the connector then pull strongly outwards.

Remove the bulb from its housing then replace the new one respecting its direction.

You can use gloves when changing the bulb.

You can now reconnect the connector and check that the bulb is working properly.

Reposition the lighting module in its support by pressing firmly in order to clip it back into its housing, respecting its direction.
