Introduction

The model presented is a Volkswagen Golf VII 1.6 TDI Blue Motion 16V 105 hp

  1. To change your dipped beam bulb, you will need to open your hood using the hatch located in your Golf 7 below the light control. Then locate the bulb cover, simply switch on the ignition on your vehicle, leave the dipped headlights on then the cover is located just behind the light bulb.   3. By putting your hand in the location you will feel the support which makes contact with your bulb, hold it in your fingers then turn sharply counterclockwise. Once removed, hold the support firmly so that it does not fall into the engine compartment otherwise you will have difficulty finding it.

  4. You now have the holder and the bulb in your hands, pull the bulb upwards to unclip it. If you can't do this, use a small flat-head screwdriver to lever it without dropping the bulb on the ground. Once the bulb is removed , place the new bulb in the holder , respecting its direction.

Once the new bulb is put back on its holder , replace the assembly, to find the direction in which it will clip , turn it gently and you will feel that at one point it will fit without forcing into its housing. Once it is pushed in well turn clockwise strongly because it is hard to reclip. All you have to do is put the plastic cover back on just by screwing it into its support.

I could do it even shorter: remove the broken one and put a new one in. Except that to access it... that's where I would have liked your help... and to see the other tutorials, well it's not that simple. Disappointed by oscaro on this post.

ok for the passenger side bulb, but for the driver side? the headlight has to be removed, and that must be emphasized

I managed without removing the headlight… But it took me an hour, and the back of my hand is bleeding :/ Really not practical
