Hello, this will be the first time I change the pads on my 508 1 litre 6 120 CV blue hdi. I'll see. Apparently I was told that you have to open the brake fluid reservoir to push the piston. Is this true and is there a risk that air will be in the circuit with this procedure? Thank you.
Good morning,
Great tutorial, very clear!
What are the tightening torques for the screws? Should I use thread lock? If so, which one?
Has anyone made a tutorial on changing the discs? I'd be interested.
THANKS
Hello G22, very simple, when the caliper is removed, be careful 2 Torx 55 screws tightened well (WD40), there are one or 2 screws that hold the disc, they are sometimes made of aluminum and break easily, but don't panic it comes off with a drill, once these screws are removed, the disc comes out by itself. put the new one back, put back a single screw without tightening too much (the disc will be pressed by the wheel nuts...) and reassemble the caliper with the new pads.

Hello everyone, in what order do you bleed the brakes of a 508 hdi 2.0 163?
Hi,
It's from the furthest to the closest to the mastervac (the big bowl where the brake fluid reservoir is fixed) so ARD, then ARG, then AVD then AVG. To do it properly you would have to trigger the solenoid valves of the ABS/ESP unit. There is a procedure but for that you need the PSA diagnostic tool and know how to use it (that was my job), but instead, after 1 first bleed you can trigger the ABS by braking hard (no need to go fast) 2 or 3 times on slippery ground, grass, sand, gravel, wet, then bleed again. Do not overtighten the bleed screws, do not put too much pressure in the reservoir by using a pressurized system. Check the level by removing a little fluid with a syringe if there is too much. Be careful when changing the pads the level rises since they are thicker (open the reservoir and possibly remove a little during this operation)
