open the grommet
-
and put the choke cable and the accelerator cable to the side

remove the hot air hose
-
undo the collar of the sleeve, 7mm key
-
dislodge the air line from the sleeve
-
-
-
turn the air line clip 1/4 turn
-
and push the whole thing to the right
-
to obtain correct access to the coil
-
-
-
lever with a small flat screwdriver on the black tab
-
and pull up
-
to release the TDC sensor
-
-
-
disconnect the coil harness by pulling outwards
-
remove the rubber cap from the socket by pulling outwards
-
unplug the plug by pulling outwards
-
-
-
unscrew the front retaining screw, 10mm wrench
-
unscrew the retaining screw on the side, still with a 10mm key
-
remove the coil
-
-
-
We will have ensured compatibility before purchase but we will just do a quick visual check.

compare the shape
-
and connectivity
-
-
-
unscrew the 4 coil fixing screws using the T20 torx key
-
while holding the nut on the other side, 7mm wrench
-
remove the coil
-
Make sure to note the assembly direction.

-
present the new coil in the correct direction
-
put the screws in place (screws and washers on top, nuts on the bottom)
-
Tighten the screws with the T20 torx key while at the same time locking the nuts using the 7mm key
-

-
put the coil in place
-
screw in the front screw by hand
-
screw the screw on the side by hand
-
Make sure to put the tab back against the spool (blue arrow).

-
Place the TDC sensor on the tab (you should hear a "click")
-
connect the coil plug (you should hear a "click") and make sure to put the rubber protection back in place properly
-
connect the ignition harness
-
-
-
put the air hose back into the sleeve
-
put the clip back in its housing and lock by making a 1/4 turn
-
screw the collar, 7mm key
-
-
-
install the hot air pipe
-
put the starter and throttle cables back into the grommet and lock the clip
-
connect the terminal - of the battery
-
Start the car to make sure everything works.
