Changing a low beam bulb on an Audi A3 II

Press the clip (broken in the photo but shown in black) and tilt the cover back. To remove it from its location, pull the cover upwards (in the tilted position).

With the cover removed, you can see the bottom fasteners.

To disconnect the bulb, pry downward to release the upper clips. Then remove the bulb.

Hold the metal bulb base and separate it from the plastic connector by pulling on each side.

Replace the bulb and plug it into the connector (no direction).

Replace the bulb in its base starting from the bottom of the bulb. Force a little, you should hear a small click when the 3 clips are fixed (yellow) and if the top metal clip (green) is perfectly aligned. The bulb should not move from its location.

To make it easier to insert the bulb into its location, look at the bulb from outside the light.

Be careful of the wires which can block the insertion of the bulb into its housing (red).

Place the plastic light cover in its location and close it.
