It is necessary to replace the water pump when it shows the first symptoms of fatigue such as squeaking.

Loosen the nuts on the right side wheel and lift the car with it. the jack then put it on a candle.Securing the vehicle: removing and refitting the wheel

Remove the wheel and set it aside.

Remove the cover that is attached under the wing. There are 2 clips at the top, 1 screw taken up at the top on the bumper, a screw taken up at the bottom on the bumper and a clip at the bottom as well.

On the engine side, disconnect the battery. Then remove it. Positive terminal using pliers and negative terminal using an 8 mm wrench.

Unscrew the gold-colored angle just above, 1 nut.

Remove the fixing paste before extracting the battery from its location

Loosen the 2 nuts on the diesel filter support with a key of 10

Withdraw the diesel filter

Remove the 2 nuts holding the aluminum preheating box on the left side of the battery fairing.

Unscrew the 2 nuts + 1 screw on the harness which hold the calculator

With the help of'a clamp we shift the hose clamp

Remove the hose from the bottom of the expansion tank
-
Rotate the hose to detach it from the expansion tank
-
Using a tank, collect the coolant.

-
Once the expansion tank is empty. Remove the pipe from the top of the expansion tank, place the bottom hose in a container. Blow into the top hose to expel as much coolant as possible from the circuit.

Do this so that no more coolant flows.
-
Then reconnect the 2 hoses.

Unclip and unscrew the upper part of the front grille (on both sides of the car). 4 screws.

Unscrew and disconnect the headlight on the right side. 1 screw on top, 2 screws on the bottom and all connectors from behind.

Slide the connectors into the holes in the body to avoid damaging them when passing your arms through this area later.

Relax the belt by unscrewing the nut on the left of the alternator bracket,
-
Turn the long screw to loosen the belt. Then remove the belt.

It is sometimes necessary to unscrew the 16 nut which holds the alternator at the level of its axis of rotation.

Unscrew the 3 screws of the pulley of the water pump fixed on the water pump axle using a pulley block
-

-
Place a container under the car before unscrewing the water pump, the coolant will flow out.

Unscrew the 9 screws of the water pump and remove the water pump using an 8 mm female Torx socket.

Thoroughly clean and degrease the joint and support surface.
-
After comparing the new and old water pump, reassemble the new pump, taking care to position the seal correctly.

Put everything back in reverse order

Add coolant, leaving the bleeder screw open. It is located on the thermostat housing. And when the air has escaped and the liquid flows from it, close it. Then finish filling.

Once full, start the engine, wait 2 fan start-up cycles, then top up with coolant if necessary.

Hello, if your engine matches the one in the tutorial then no. The water pump is driven by the accessory belt and therefore not by the timing belt.
To do this simply, you need to see which belt is driving your water pump.
