Introduction
The oil pressure light remained on continuously on this vehicle; the oil pressure sensor was faulty.

-
-
The oil pressure sensor is located in the area circled in red
-
next to the exhaust heat shield
-
-
-
unplug the plug by pressing the tab
-
while pulling towards oneself
-
the grip should come easily
-
-
-
unlock the sensor using the 22mm ratchet and socket (1/2 turn should be enough)
-
and finish unscrewing by hand
-
You can place a cloth before removing the sensor because oil will flow out
-
-
-
We can compare the sensors but they are often quite different depending on the manufacturer who produces them.
-
Also, oil will leak since the old sensor is no longer in place so you will have to try to put the new one in as quickly as possible. We will have ensured compatibility beforehand.
-
-
-
screw the sensor in by hand
-
then finish tightening with the ratchet wrench and 21mm socket (moderate tightening, torque of 33N.m)
-
The original sensor was tightened with a 22mm socket, this one with a 21mm socket. This kind of thing happens very frequently, it does not mean in any way that the parts are not compatible.
-
reconnect the sensor by presenting the plug and pushing it in (you should hear a "click")
-
There is a foolproof feature so there is no risk of getting the direction wrong.
-
-
-
we will remove the cloth and clean the oil that has leaked
-
Brake cleaner is very effective in this case.
