Change the cabin filter on Mercedes E class w212

Start by folding down the floor mat, tool side, you just need to prepare the box of torx bits.

Unscrew the 3 torx screws indicated in red, disconnect the light terminal, as well as the sensor terminal behind the ventilation in yellow.

Then you can take the plastic out of the car. Be careful, don't forget to remove the key from the ignition before disconnecting anything.

Now you can see the location of the filter. To remove it, slide the white clip towards the center console, then remove the filter downwards.

Here are the 2 filters, on the left the new one, compare the dimensions between the old and the new cabin filter

Place the new one in its place, be careful there is a direction, the most rounded side towards the hood.

After fully inserting the new filter, slide the retaining clip towards the hood.

Replace the plastic cover, starting with the bottom.

Then reconnect the 2 electrical terminals. Lift the cover to be able to screw the screws, make sure that the cover is well placed see orange arrows! Then screw the 3 torx screws.

Place the carpet back to the bottom. It's done.
