Introduction

Replacing the air filter on the Seat Ibiza IV HB 5 doors, equipped with the 2.0 TDI 16V FAP 143ch Sport engine

Simple operation that requires few tools and allows the engine to function properly.

  1. 
Locate the air box

Locate the air box
    • Locate the air box

  2. 
There are two hoses that clip onto the air box cover

Pull the hoses towards you until they unclip.

Do not use any tools!

Locate the 6 torx head screws

Unscrew the 6 screws

Store the screws so you don't lose them
    • Locate the 6 torx head screws

    • Unscrew the 6 screws

    • Store the screws so you don't lose them

Remove the cover by pulling upwards

Remove the air filter

The filter is not fixed
    • Remove the cover by pulling upwards

    • Remove the air filter

    • The filter is not fixed

    • compare the correspondence between the new air filter and the old one

  5. 
Put the new filter in

Close the lid

Once the filter is in place: Tighten the screws and reclip the hoses
    • Put the new filter in

    • Close the lid

    • Once the filter is in place: Tighten the screws and reclip the hoses
