Change fuel filter on fiat Stilo

View fuel filter location

Disconnect the water sensor probe connector under the fuel filter

Disconnect the diesel temperature sensor connector

Disconnect the heater connector

Remove the 3 hoses by pinching the 2 buttons on each side of the hose

Remove the 2 screws from the fuel filter bracket using a 13 wrench

Empty the fuel filter by removing the water presence sensor

Clean the water presence sensor

Compare old and new fuel filter (same dimensions)

Unscrew the cap of the new fuel filter

Remove the gasket from the cap of the new filter

Insert the gasket onto the water sensor

Loosen the filter from its support using the filter wrench

Lubricate the new fuel filter gasket with oil

Screw the new fuel filter firmly onto the bracket by hand.

Reposition the fuel filter

Tighten the 2 screws of the fuel filter support using a 13 wrench.

Reclip the 3 filter hoses

Reconnect the heater connector

Reconnect the diesel temperature sensor connector

Reconnect the water sensor probe connector under the fuel filter

Before starting, activate the ignition several times.
