The switch is force fitted into the bore so to remove it you either pull on it or dislodge it by unscrewing it.

Reassembly is carried out in reverse order.

To adjust the switch, simply push it in until the face of the switch bottoms out on the bore. Basically, push it in all the way.

Check before setting off that the lights come on when you brake.
