Introduction
Here is a tutorial explaining how to proceed for the replacement of the battery on Fiat Tipo 2 1.4l 95cv.
It is imperative, before disconnecting the battery, to allow at least 10 minutes to elapse after switching off the ignition in order to give the vehicle time to go into sleep mode.
Parts
-
-
Open the hood to locate the battery (on the right here).
-
-
unclip the cover located on the + terminal by pressing on the lugs.
-
positive terminal marking
-
negative terminal marking
-
-
-
For the negative terminal, no tools are required, simply unclip the system, which will release it and thus release the plug.
-
Unscrew the positive terminal using a 10 wrench, and pull upwards to extract the terminal.
-
Finally, unscrew the 13 screw on the left, which will release the battery retaining strap and finally allow it to be removed.
-
-
-
-
reposition the new battery, lightly greasing the terminals
-
Make sure that the battery is placed well behind the side support so that it is stabilized.
-
Pass the retaining strap inside the handle of the new battery and screw it in as originally with its 13 screw.
-
Connect the terminals starting with the positive and then the negative and proceed to tighten the terminals and reassemble the positive terminal cover.
-
''the amperage of the new battery must be equivalent to the old one, here a battery of 52AH''
